Carnival Madness
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Carnival Madness is a roguelike puzzle game set in a cursed carnival.
You are trapped in a cursed carnival that is siphoning your soul and the only means of escape is through navigating a maze of portals. However, the portals first need to be unlocked with combinations of items that are obtained through trades. Your progress is tracked and assembled in an archive menu.
This was a fun experimental project and is our first game made together.
Any feedback would be appreciated :)
Note: Carnival Madness is a roguelike and so it can feel pretty difficult. Look for patterns in item combinations and event card spawns and you should be well on your way to escape.

This is a really neat idea! Juggling the card timers, your health, and your inventory is a fun challenge. I especially like the judgement call of choosing a worse portal with what you have rather than wait for a better portal. To that end, it might be nice to see a little farther ahead on the map, so you could know more of what you're getting into when you choose to go for or wait on a portal. Great job, it's fun!
We're glad you liked it!
That's a good idea to give the player some more information so that choosing which portal to unlock is a more interesting decision.
Thanks for your kind feedback :)
